If anyone has ANY advice for surviving/dealing with preteen girls and their constant eye-rolling & mouthiness I would REALLY appreciate it. A little thing called "The Law" prevents me from beating her, so I need other options.

SIDENOTE: How cute is the little Yahoo! banner for Cinco Di Mayo? It's kind of It's a Small World-esque, don't ya think? Love it! (it's the little things that make me happy)

Let me know if you get any suggestions. My 9 year old has a bad case of pre-teen-itis too. When she gets too mouthy she spends quality time alone in her room, which is quite often these days.

Ditto on the advice (if you find any let me know). It seems like these little girls are getting way too big for their britches too early on.

Take away everything. My friends and I call it 'turning them Amish.' It's amazing how fast they'll become loveydovey again to earn back their privileges.

I swear it gets better around 16 or 17. They're still pretty obnoxious, but they need their mommies again. My 18 year old can't even manage to fill her car with gas without calling me to chat.

Wendy- LOVE that term, and you can bet I will be using it often. Things are much funner when they have a name.
